Project:     Rear Extension of Victorian Terrace House

Location:  St Margaret's, Richmond upon Thames

A rear and side extension was designed to cater to the evolving needs of the family, creating a central hub that is social, adaptable, and seamlessly connected to the garden. The brief called for an open-plan ground floor featuring a central kitchen with a large island as the focal point, surrounded by a dining and living area that flows effortlessly into the outdoor space. 

Our approach to open plan design ensures smooth uninterrupted flow throughout the space, while defining each area by carefully crafted design of ceilings, beams and lighting. This delineates key spaces giving them their own identity while maintaining a cohesive overall design.

The black-and-white patterned aesthetic was inspired by the owners’ travels to Mexico, where they fell in love with the contemporary interiors of Tulum and Holbox. This inspiration was brought back to London and blended with Scandinavian lighting, locally sourced wood, and high-quality Danish and French furniture, creating a harmonious and stylish environment.
